A Hearty Valentine’s Day Baby & Toddler Food Recipe

Did you know that babies and toddlers love to explore food not only with their fingers and mouths, but with their eyes as well?  As your baby gets older, sometimes the colorful and creative presentation helps get him/her interested in actually trying the food.

This super easy “hearty” recipe really “pops” with interest and looks fun too.  The best part, it’s so simple to make!

“Hearty” Valentine’s Day Baby Food

Ingredients

mashed potatoes – cooked
roasted beets – pureed

Directions

Plop some mashed potatoes in a bowl
Using a small spoon (the curved sides will help make the heart), make a heart pattern and hollow it out.
Fill the heart with roasted beets

Serve

Yes, it is so simple isn’t it! :)

Suitable for babies 7-8 month+
