  1. My husband and I travel frequently (for business, pleasure and to visit family), I think this would be very handy for those types of excursions. We also eat out frequently (about 3x per week).

  2. This is so neat! I didn’t even know such a simple machine existed. My husband and I have seen the large do it all baby food preparers but they’re so expensive! We were worried we’d spend all the money and not use it enough.

The Wean Machine is much smaller and less expensive than the other devices! It looks easy to clean and easy to use.

Our baby is only 4 months so just starting out trying new foods. This looks like a fantastic way to allow her to try new foods while giving me piece of mind of what exactly is going into her belly.

  3. My daughter is 6 months old and just starting to eat solid foods. At the moment I am just using my food processor to make all of her food. I am already realizing that I need to get something smaller that is easier to clean, so as she gets bigger we can just give her a little of what we are eating instead of making huge batches of her food. The Wean Machine looks perfect! It meets all my needs and I could even take it with me wherever we go. So if we are eating out or at a friends house I can make her baby food on the spot. This is a product I will definately be getting!

  4. I don’t think I’d buy it. When we’re out of the house, DD usually just eats jarred food because it’s simpler. It seems that the Wean Machine doesn’t work on too many foods. My food mill probably does just as good a job!

  5. I would buy this product for the exact reason you talked about in your last post…traveling or eating out. I would keep in in the diaper bag and use it to “squish” foods that I ordered off the menu which would be so much better than transporting baby food cubes especially when we travel.

  6. I think this gadget looks handy to take with you. My little guy is just over 4 months and I’m gonna wait till he’s 6 to start him on solids and at home I’ll probably just use my food processor, but this definitely looks handy especially for soft fruits and veggies which is where we’ll start! I will consider purchasing it (If I’m not the lucky winner!).

  7. My daughter is 9 months old and starting to show more interest in table food. It would be wonderful to have a smaller, easier to clean device so that we can mash up vegetables and fruits from our meals. It would also be great to have for days when we’re out running errands and would negate the need for a cooler or jarred baby food. I would love to buy one but just don’t know if it’s in our budget. My husband is starting grad school and I will only be working part-time, so it’s going to be very strict.

  8. I like the portability and the idea of using it when we go out to eat or to someone else’s home. My son is 7 months old and is starting to eat a greater variety so we would use this so that he could try whatever we’re eating. I also liked your idea of using it while camping!

  9. I think this would be a great gadget as a working mom. I will be heading back to work next week and I think this would really help me to keep making my own food for my little one. I could easily puree the food each day with this so that she keeps getting fresh baby food!

  11. This would be so great to bring to restaurants and on vacation. We took a week off of feeding the twins (5 months at the time) solid food because we were on vacation at a resort. They had tons of bananas but I had nothing to mash them up with!
I would buy this for our upcoming trip overseas – would work well in the airport and on the plane, too!!

  12. I think it would be useful when visiting or out for dinner. It would save having to bring a lot of extra supplies and can easily be rinsed out. I probably wouldn’t purchase it though since the same thing can be done with other devices I already have even though the Wean Machine may be more convenient.

  13. This would make going out to dinner, going on roadtrips, and visiting friends so much nicer. I won’t have to fill a whole backpack with jarred baby food. Now little Milo can eat whatever we’re eating! i bet i could find a thousand uses for it!

  15. If only I had this a month ago! My family traveled across the country from NC to AZ for my husbands job. With a weeks worth of hotels and a temporary home for 10 weeks, the Wean Machine would have been the perfect solution to meal while traveling. Rather than hauling our food processor with us and considering jarred food, we could use the Wean Machine, just as convenient, but still able to offer our 9 month old FRESH food. It would also be perfect for picnics, BBQ’s, and a stay at Grandmothers and mostly for our family, dining in the car!

  16. This looks like a great little gadget for eating out and travel. With two little ones (7 month old twins) to feed, it would be helpful for those times when we venture out. I think it would also help to entertain the big brother (2.5 years old) while we wait for dinner to be served :)

  17. I’m not sure I’d actually purchase this – at 8 months my daughter is eating table food, but it would be handy for some things that she has difficulty chewing (since she doesn’t have any teeth yet).

  18. THIS WOULD BE HANDY, but NOT JUST FOR BABY MAKING food a little more digestable for the puppies.

  19. I teach home made baby food making workshops. So, not only would I get 1001 uses out of this at home with my own little 8 month old foodie, but I would LOVE to have this available for other moms to try out during the workshop! Because my goal is to convince moms everywhere how easy making your own fresh baby food really is, I think that this would be the perfect tool to do just that!

  21. I would have to agree with the other moms out there. Travel would be the perfect use. We are actually headed to FL in Sept for a week and I think the Wean Machine would be perfect for our 8 month old. I have wondered how I am going to get food cubes to stay frozen over a 12 hour car trip! This way she could eat our food, just mashed up!

    Love it!! :)

  22. Several times a week, I wind up eating a meal somewhere besides home. It would be so much easier to have the wean machine in the diaper bag than to bring frozen cubes and hope for microwave access (or have to bring a cooler for thawed food if there is no microwave). It’s also great for when you start introducing your child to the food you eat–rather than giving him/her special food.

  23. I agree with everyone else that this would be great for travel, as well as a quick snack. It would save me having to wash my stick blender umpteen times a day (and save energy too!)

What I think the best thing about the Wean Machine is that it would allow my very active little guy to be hands on in his food prep. He’s a very “me do” kind of kid. This would allow him to prep his food without any dangerous whirring blades. Even with help from Mum and Dad he can feel like he did it himself.

I would definitely use it if I had it, but I’m not so sure I would buy it.

  24. I would use this 1) for travel, like so many of the other moms, 2) since I don’t have much freezer room for home-made baby food, I would use it frequently for smaller daily portions, and 3) to send to the home daycare. There are so many uses, I could probably come up with 10 more!

  25. I’ve been eying this product for a little time now. And now that my little girl can eat raw fruits I’ve been wanting it.

We will be taking trip in my mother’s RV this summer and space is limited. The Wean Machine would be great on this trip and on camping grips where you want to make up some fresh food, but don’t have electricity or the space for a food processor.

I love that it could fit in my diaper bag/back pack.

It also looks very easy to clean.

  26. Wow!! As a nurse and grandma the Wean Machine would be terrific to have. Fresh wholesome food in a flash, no worries about pieces being too large as to pose a choking hazard. Currently I babysit my grandson-Monday to Friday. He is just over 1 year old. It would be wonderful to have the use of the Wean Machine for all 3 meals everyday .Thanks for listening.

  27. This product looks so convenient! I tried a Magic Bullet at first for my daughter, returned it after 1 day and have just been using a blender to do big batches at a time. I would love to have this to take to Grandma’s, restaurants, airports, on road trips, or to friend’s houses who don’t have kids yet! My daughter always wants to eat whatever we are eating and this would make it so easy!

  28. The wean machine would be great for travel as my inlaws live 3 hours away and we go to the shore every now and then too! My little guy is 6 months! This would be great. I might not buy it bc it is just another extra thing to purchase, I might buy it for convenience.

  29. Like many others, travel would be my main desire to have this gizmo. I would also like it for those foods that don’t freeze well (avacados, bananas, etc) to avoid the browning and texture changes of zucs and pears. Or if I forgot to thaw something. :) I am sure that will happen! Thanks for the chance to win!

  36. My 6 month old son has been trying new foods for about a month now. In general, I have been baking/cooking large quantities, pureeing, and then freezing the food. Some days I would just like to make a serving or two of one food (especially ones that don’t freeze well). The Wean Machine would be perfect for this!
