Banana Pancakes Recipe
Is it just me or do we always seem to buy one banana too many? These banana pancakes are a perfect way to use to up any bananas you may have around the house- and their round shape and small size makes them a perfect first finger food for baby!
Using a convenient pancake mix and fresh banana, you can whip up this yummy treat in a snap. Keep in mind that the baby who enjoys this recipe should be at least 8 months old, due to the use of buckwheat flour. For the perfect banana pancakes, use bananas that have only recently turned yellow. Using bananas that are too soft or overripe may result in a messy final product.
Now let’s get started!
Ingredients:
- 1 or 2 ripe bananas (not overly ripe or mushy bananas)
- Pancake Batter (try Hodgson Mills Buckwheat Pancake Mix.)
Directions:
Step 1: Slice bananas into coins or diagonally.
Step 2: Coat with pancake batter.
Step 3: Lightly fry in pan until golden brown.
Serve as a baby finger food for snack or at breakfast time. We promise mommas will like ’em too. Enjoy!
